Ultra PSU's are A LOT better now. There was only one series that ruined their reputation, but now the new PSUs are good.

And another person that thinks that way. If I had the choice of getting an Ultra X3 1000W or a PCP&C 1000W, i would take the Ultra X3 in a heartbeat.

Ultra's good. The rebate is a Mail-In rebate. You buy the PSU, nd then you get your rebate by mail...if you ever get it.

Ultra also made a 2000 watt PSU, not that it would be that practical though. And it's huge.

its not classified as a 2kw psu. I think its 1800 watts or something. The 2kw version didn't get approved by UL since it could potentially overdraw a power socket (like thats possible )

i could see it over-draw an entire circut, but not a socket. the circut breaker would pop before that would happen.

well...the wall socket hahah. I'm pretty sure it could over draw one...2000Watts...thats quite a bit of power. And it would definitely trip the circuit breaker before it over drew from a socket.

LEt's see... 120V and 15A outlet. It just depends on the charge it take. IF it take more than 15A, then it will pop the breaker. The only way to destroy a wall socket is by shorting the wires with another powered wire.

I have an Ultra too, for like 2 years. Love it. Ultra X-connect modular power supply.

Can't go wrong.

Not one problem.
