You could probably power and wire a head unit and speakers separately, but that's kind of beside the point of this thing. It is an option after all.

ya, that'd work, it'd be a major pain in the arse, but if somebody really wanted to do it, that could be done..

so far it looks ok, but as it was said earlier, microsoft speech recognition has never really be perfect unless (watching a commercial on it right now, sorry for interupting, haha) you have flawless speech

we had OnStar in our '03 Yukon XL and it sucked... we had it for phone and such, and whenever you'd say 2 it'd say 0 no matter who said it, i know this isnt really the same thing, but my point was we have a ways to go before speech recognition can be counted on

i'd just like to see it in action though, it'd be cool either way

Don't believe everything you hear about Ford. People are stupid when it comes to cars and expect them to last while they neglect them. If you take care of it it will take care of you.

My thoughts exactly. It will probably end up taking over the driving somehow and run you into a telephone pole... Yes, Ford is getting worse. My dad got out of the Ford mechanic business because Ford is getting worse. I'm not talking about financially, but that is an issue. Their quality is what it is. He worked on electrical. Everything is advancing faster than they know how to actually make them right...therefore cars come in with a lot of electrical problems that could have been avoided had they not even bothered to put them in until it was perfected if at all. This is just another step for Ford that will fail horribly. FYI, my dad is not the only one that wanted to get out of there. Quite a few people wanted to leave when my dad left. I don't totally hate Ford, but I wouldn't buy a brand new vehicle from Ford now that I heard about this. I own a Ford Tempo, and will get a Ford Escort Zx2 as my second vehicle.

Yes, you are right that if you take care of your car it will take care of you, at least it was before they came up with all kinds of new junk to put in there. Now it's if you take care of your car it has a possibility of taking care of you, but will probably end up breaking down because of one of the stupid additions to it. I like a car that will get you from point A to point B, has a radio (those are proven to work), and an AC/heater (works as well). I don't need all this extra junk, dvd player, heated seats, and now Sync...
