Talking Favourite Songs...

I thought it would be interesting to post our favourite songs of the moment on here. Obviously Lyrics would be the extremety of this but I suppose we are all capable of downloading the piece of music if we don't already know it! So... He it goes:

Wrap around; take a hold of my heart
What I feeling
Keeps believing
I can have it all now Iím dancing for my life
Take youíre passion
And make it happen
You just come alive you can dance right through your life
Now I hear the music
Close my eyes I am rhythm
In a flash it takes hold of my heart
What a feeling
Is believing
I can have it all now Iím dancing for my life
Take your passion
And make it happen
You just come alive now Iím dancing through my life
What a Feeling!
What Feeling
Hereís believing
It just comes alive you can dance right through you life
What a feeling
What a feeling
I can have it all
Have it all

Very good, very good beat, very lively! I'd imagine you all know it - fairly well know from the film Flashdance which is less wellknown, less than the song i'd imagine! Heard it on an advert or something on TV and I downlaoded it instantly after remmember the tune and being caught by the Music!

Obviously, I do much prefer Classical Music and Theme Tunes, and National Anthems (can't wait for the Proms!) to this type of music - but still! And I do recommend the Return of the King Tune 'The White Tree' which is wat was played with the beakons being lit. That and the Soviet National Anthem:

O Party of Lenin, the strength of the people,
To Communismís triumph lead us on!
Through tempests the sunrays of freedom have cheered us,
Along the new path where great Lenin did lead.
Be true to the people, thus Stalin has reared us,
Inspire us to labour and valorous deed!
Sing to the to the Motherland, home of the free,
Bulwark of peoples in the brotherhood strong.
O Party of Lenin, the strength of the people,
To Communismís triumph lead us on!
In Victíry of Communismís deathless ideal,
We see the future of our dear land.
And to her fluttering scarlet banner,
Selflessly true we always shall stand!
Sing to the to the Motherland, home of the free,
Bulwark of peoples in the brotherhood strong.
O Party of Lenin, the strength of the people,
To Communismís triumph lead us on!

Very nice - found it in Anglish, there isn't an English Sung Version - but it makes sense to show the english words or it would make no sense!

ANYTHING BY LOREENA MCKENNIT!! The woman is unmatched and immaculate....But this one is my favorite of hers.

Samain Night
Words and music by Loreena McKennitt
From the recording "Parallel Dreams"

When the moon on a cloud cast night
Hung above the tree tops' height
You sang me of some distant past
That made my heart beat strong and fast
Now I know I'm home at last

You offered me an eagle's wing
That to the sun I might soar and sing
And if I heard the owl's cry
Into the forest I would fly
And in its darkness find you by.

And so our love's not a simple thing
Nor our truths unwavering
But like the moon's pull on the tide
Our fingers touch our hearts collide
I'll be a moonsbreath by your side

Static X - Shadow Zone :

I get we gotta run
Make me take it
Take out the big one
I can't forget I cannot
See infect on me

Enter the shadow zone
I like it, slice it
This is your own world
Naked, resurfacing

Shadow Zone
I come to realize
That I'm home now
But you can't see inside me
Shadow Zone
If I can't forget just
Leave me alone now
It's time to get out now, shut down

I'm sick of this mutation
All of this masturbation
It becomes my salvation
Taking it, taking it

I'm dead inside, my head my mind
Right way wrong way, this cage is my rage
My cord ripped out, cry out for help
Call this my own

Hmm! Very interesting songs! I've never heard them before; but they sound interesting and I'll have to look into them.

This is a very odd one ... there is no music, no song, just words .. Stone Sour - Omega. I thought you'd find it rather, umm, interesting.

Quote:
What a skeletal wreck of man this is

Translucent flesh and feeble bones
The kind of temple where the whores and villians
Try to tempt the holistic tomes

Running rapid with free thought to free form
In the free and clear
Where the matters at hand are shelled out like lint at a laundromat
To sift and focus on the bigger, better, now

We all have a little sin than needs venting
Virtues for the rending
And laws and systems
And stems ariff from the branches of office
Do you know what your post entails?

Do you serve a purpose?
Or purposely serve?

Lying down inside of your adavistic galore
The value of a Summer spent
And a Winter earned

For the rest of us there is always Sunday.
The day of the week that reeks of rest
But all we do is catch out breaths
So we can wade naked into the bloody pool
And place our hand on the big black book.

To watch the knives zig-zag between our aching fingers.

A vacation is a count-down
T-minus your life and counting
Time to drag your tongue across the sugar-cube
And hope you get a taste

What the FUCK is all this for?! (What the hell is goin' on?!)
SHUT UP!!

I could go on and on, but, lets move on shall we?

Say, you're me and I'm you
And they all watch the things we do
And like a smack of spite
They threw me down the stairs
Haven't felt like this in years
The great magnet of malicious magnanamous refuse
Let me go and
Punch me into the dead spot again.

Thats where you go when theres' no one else around
It's just you
And there was never anyone to begin with now was there?

Sanctomonious pretentious dasterdly bastards
With their thumb on the pulse
And a finger on the trigger

CLASSIFIED MY ASS! that's a FUCKING secret and you know it!

Government is another way to say
Better
Than
You.

It's like ice but no pick
A murder charge that won't stick
It's like a whole other world
Where you can smell the food
But you can't touch the silverware

Hah, what luck
Fascism you can vote for
Isn't that sweet

And we're all gonna die some day
Because thats the American way
And I've drunk too much
And said too little
When your gaffer taped in the middle
Say a prayer, save face
Get yourself together and (see whats happening)
SHUT UP! (FUCK YOU!)
FUCK YOU!

I'm sorry, I could go on and on but
It's time to move on, so

Remember your a wreck, an accident
Forget the freak, your just nature

Keep the gun oiled and the temple clean
Shit, snort and blaspheme
Let the heads cool and the engine run

Because in the end,
Everything we do
Is just everything we've done.
