Wait a minute. I don't get this.. Myst 4's graphics are "okay"? You have got to be kidding me. Myst 4 is eye candy and a lot of it.

The only reason myst 4 looks good is because they used normal mapping, and besides myst is to complicated for a simple gun jockey like me, I think the only games other than shooters that i Like are RPG's
my fav games:
1. BF 1942(DC and FH)
2.Star wars republic commando (just came out today, go buy it now!)
3. Guild wars ( not out till april, but free beta testing with preorder)
4. Halo series
5.CS:S
6. Painkiler ( really relieves the stress of the day. mmm.... ninja soup)
Game Im most looking forward too...
morrowind IV (real name= the elderscrolls IV oblivion) mmmmmm..... Tasty.......
BTW the only good FPS that uses normal mapping Ive seen is escape from butchers bay... but sadly it doesnt have multiplayer.

Vietcong.. the reason I like it so much.. it is an open area FPS.. takes place in swamps and jungles... and has the most accurate physics engine I have seen in any FPS (way more accurate then CS:S or Far Cry). The muzzle flashes, velocity and pullback is quite accurate for the weapons.

Yeah Myst 4 is for those who like to solve puzzles. If you aren't one of those people, don't play. Heheh.

BF 1942 is too linear for me...

dial up? updating steam is painful even on a 512k....
battlefield isnt that linear, I only play the multiplayer now anyway, and mods make it fun.
but has anyone else hear besides me made ninja soup with the painkiller weapon in painkiller...

I think that the graphics in CS:S are heaps better than those in COD I havent played Vietcong, so I wont make assumptions.

Here is a comparison. Both of these Images are from Gamespy.com

Call of Duty

Counterstrike: Source

Actually it is an assumption to make by saying those are better because that's based on your own personal opinion. After seeing those screenshots I still strongly disagree. You are being selective.

This is Vietcong for you:

And one of my favorite Heavy Machine Gun:

compared to that.. CS:S blows chunks.
