Ok so my wife and I share a facebook account. The problem is I created it while I was in college. I used my college email account as the login. However, I no longer have access to that account. My desktop at home has my password saved in IE but I need to reload Windows on that computer. It is infected with some viruses - and it's Vista - yuck!.

I tried to create a new email and set it as the default, but it won't email my password to my newly created email. It won't let me remove the original account. I also don't remember what I answered for any of my security questions.

Anybody know a good solution?

You can change your login email address at any time in the Settings tab of the Account page. Please note that you can log in with any email address you have added to your account. However, if you no longer have access to an email address associated with your Facebook account, you will need to contact your email service provider in order to regain access to that address.

Maybe try contacting them?

Ok....so i just typed in my old email address and then started spamming every password i might have used and i figured it out. Good too cuz I didn't want to have to try to deal with them.

Now go and change the default email address on the account to one you have access to.

you will probably still have to type the original email address in as the log in though. Even though you changed the email address used with the account.
