african americans are americans decended from africans.

black people don't just get called african everywhere else.

black people in france are called french citizens, not african citizens. to be a citizen of africa (you may have guessed this) you'd actually have to live in africa, or have been born in africa, or be tied to africa, or have claimed citizenship in one of the coutries inside of the african continent -not just be black.
