Default Did you know that USPS deliver on Sunday?

I ordered a dash cam from Amazon and it's slated for Monday delivery. I went to the pharmacy so I was gone for almost an hour.

Upon coming home I see a package on my front porch and I'm like WTH ??

It's my dash cam and delivered on Sunday. I reviewed my security cameras and saw that it was the postman who delivered it. That surprised me.

Observe where he placed the package. Stick out like a sore thumb, waiting for a pirate (like Dan ). It sat in the open for like 40 minutes.

I guess he knows no one's home because he didn't even bother to knock.

I found out online that Amazon has Sunday deliveries by the USPS. That's how big they are.

I knew Amazon delivered on Sunday (I got a package yesterday as well) but wasn't aware that it may have been delivered by the USPS. My package was left on the front porch too, don't know if the person knocked or not as we weren't home. I'm not worried about packages left on our porch since we live in a very low-crime area plus our porch has a little alcove so the package was out of sight from the sidewalk/street.

You'd think the guy would have at least set your package to the side or something so it wouldn't be in plain view.

Paybacks are hell!!!

I have packages come all the time here and they place it under the stairs all the time. I almost missed it a couple of times. I live in a low crime area. Been here for over two years now in this park. Haven't had any issues other than the Fed-Ex crew not able to find my address. Everyone else, USPS and UPS have no issues. Guess Fed-Ex don't have a phone with GPS on it.....

Our address is similar to the address of a house at the other end of our street. Our number is 1088, the other house is 1008. I've had people go to that house and call me to tell me they have been ringing my doorbell for 5 minutes and ask why I don't answer the door? I think some GPS software may have the addresses swapped.

I had the same problem. My addy is 9306 and I got a package meant for 9106 so I hopped in my car and took it there.

The guy was surprised, he wasn't expecting any packages. The box says Red Wings Boots. The size of the box suggested kid sized boots.

The darn camera's going back. Won't hold charge and it acts up. Even the video was yellowish. Bummer.

Got my old one back up and hope it'll capture what I need and when I need it.

I'll just pay more for a better camera.

They've been delivering on Sunday's for a while. At least by me (though I'm less than an hour from the warehouse in Kenosha Wisconsin).

If you're looking for a good dash cam, this is the one I have. Would buy again.

It may not be USPS that delivered it. I know i've had 2-day shipping and same day shipping delivered by one of their random sub-contractors. It's like uber, but for amazon packages.

Edit: but my experience may be different than yours since theres an amazon distribution center in my city.

That may be the difference as we don't have one here.

The tracking page on Amazon's site should tell you who delivered it (Amazon themselves - doubtful if they're not near by, another contractor or USPS). That said this might be worth a read for you. I'm pretty sure it's been USPS delivering on sundays for me, and judging by the dates of the comments on this article the article is newish but at least it confirms they're doing it.

I've had it for about 8 months now. Lasted the summer very nicely. My only real complaint is that it looks like old models came with a GPS sensor used for detecting speed. Mine did not and I can't find it anywhere. That said, the video quality is pretty good and the suction cup (so far) hasn't fallen once.

Funny, I've looked it up on several sites and they have GPS. Only difference is that the sd card included is 32g instead of 64g.

Funny thing about "the best of..." sites is that they have different opinions about what's the best deals. At least they have some in common such as yours. These are what I look at. It's very likely it's what you have I'll get but I'm still researching for now.

I was actually leaving my house yesterday to take my sister to work, and ended up walking out at the same time a delivery was arriving. I met the subcontractor delivery guy in my front yard, and got the package. He even showed me the app they use for dispatching deliveries, it looks kinda like uber, but has an amazon logo.

Here, FedEx are using Budget rental trucks for the extra loads.

Here's info form the manufactuter:

Funny, the in the box says nothing about a GPS unit (didn't when I got it either), but it does say it comes with an 8GB sd card even though the link says 32... Ah well. Inconsistencies aside I'd still buy another.

Nevertheless, I can't find better deals than this. Can't beat the 5 year warranty and add the Amazon 3 year warranty for less than $4 for even better deal.

I have my own 32g SD class 10 card so that's covered. No GPS? Oh well. It's good enough for me.

Thanks for the tip.

Oh yeah, The quick mount. That's a plus.
