They will be used for music,maybe a tiny bit of gaming,but mostly music.

Well then u better off with the HD555's. Surround sound is only good for gaming, plus like I sad b4 they are more comfortable. HD555's may look kind of simple, but they are very very nice.

There a little out of my price range,would the hd202's be the next best thing?

I like these in green http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/gi-p-6.html. They may be a little too overrated though I'm not sure.
