Default Corvette ZR1 @ Nurburgring

The Corvette ZR1 laps the 'Ring in 7:26.4, reaching a top speed of 180 mph. It was in stock trim using the same Michelin Pilot Sport 2s found on the production model.

Video here: http://www.autoblog.com/2008/07/10/v...4-ring-attack/

The supercharged small block 6.2L engine produces 638 hp and 604 lb-ft of torque.

meh its only in the lead coz no one will put a real car round there with a decent driver in it.

Koenigsegg ccx (with the top gear spoiler) round it with the stig or sabvine in it, now thats a lap id watch

If the lap was to be timed using a more accurate timing mechanism, I think it would be around 7:29 or 7:30.

Notice that the clock starts and stops while the car is at different points on the track: it starts counting just before the car enters the first turn, yet stops counting immediately after the car comes out of the final turn. Hence, the clock doesn't run for the few seconds that the car is on the "front" straight.

Impressive it beats the base GTR, but the Spec-V will kill it. Also its a 100k car while the GTR starts at 70k.

That's pretty nice. I wish I could go on a track like that and get to drive as fast as I want. I'd probably only reach 110-120. I don't have the kind of experience to go any faster.
