this is why i like my Verizon DSL. they do not limit speeds, or cap usage. all for a very nice price of 30 bucks a month. 3000 megabit downloads (350 kilobytes per second)

From what him and I talked about it wasn't a lot of stuff. Lol, his mom didn't even understand the email.

Anyways, Optimum doesn't cap either. So I can even upload a lil' bit.

They must have a very low tolerance, most ISP give you a limit but what you said is nothing really, I would have told them to shove it and changed my ISP, in your case you cant as its in your parents name.

I am still torrenting and it seems to have done nothing actually. I don't know what the limit is though.

To get around this:
- Use different than default ports
- Use the encryption in your BitTorrent client

Still, some ISPs throttle BitTorrent traffic, and they're allowed to do whatever they want because it's their service. This is the list of ISPs that are bad with P2P:

i have BT broadband, i torrent. its all good. some companies are limiting the bandwidth and stuff, which i think its wrong. it shouldnt be up to the isp's to stop p2p, if the government and companies themselves cant be arsed then it should be allowed
