Hey guys,
I'm about to begin another chapter in the book of life. I was recently accepted into Grand Valley State University. (Michigan) I'm a computer enthusiast and looking forward to a career in technology. I'll be graduating high school next year and entering college in the fall. Without having any tech friendly family members I have a small dilemma – what should I major and minor in? With Grand Valley offering only two computer majors: Computer Science and Computer Information Systems, I decided to major in Computer Information Systems. But what should I minor in? As a career, I'm interest in networking, a little coding, and building computers. I can currently program in HTML, a little Java and C++. (I'm an expert in Qbasic, haha) I also own a small PC repair business. Nothing big, I mainly get business from my school and towns people. Anyways, here are my options:

Majors:
Computer Science
Computer Science for Teaching Certification
Computer Informaiton Systems

Minors:
Computer Science
Computer Engineering
Informaiton Systems
Healthcare Information Systems
Information Technology
Microcomputer Systems

This is my plan so far.

Majors:
Computer Informaiton Systems
Business

Minor:
Computer Science

Should I take a different minor(s), maybe Computer Engineering or Informaiton Technology instead? From experience, what do you guys think? What will give me more career options, ect?

Thanks for your help,
-Mike
