Default Check out this speed tester

I know everyone here likes to use speedtest.net for there testing but I happened to come across this site and it gives you a bit better detail. You can choose different size files for the tests and either do a simple text summary or convert the text to a image file.

Anyways here is the link to the download and upload tests. I used 1013kB files for my tests. You can do a express test as well but you can't choose the sizes and it doesn't compare to other networks. I know mine sucks and I'll get completely owned by pretty much everyone here until I can connect to the Evdo network rather than 1xRtt currently. But still I'm freaking happy with these speeds over dial up. Low still but much more enjoyable for casual surfing.

Nice guys what type of ISP's you using cable or dsl?

I just wish I could get around 100kB/s downloading. Hopefully when I pick up a better external antenna and amp I can connect to the right towers.

The last time a thread like this went around I was working at a uni and had more bandwidth than you could shake several sticks at...

now I work in an office in the middle of nowhere, and our company pimps our bandwidth to other companies so we are their ISP...

there are 3 broadband lines here all bonded together but still the early morning everyone online speed is a pitiful 100kbps

I'll log on during the night and see if I can get a true idea of the speed me thinks.
