@ OP: Here's an idea. Just search "faulty" when in the desktop components category. There are loads of people who don't have a clue. I bought a HD 3870 which would supposedly cause the system to make a load beeping noise when turned on, and there was no picture on the screen. Guess what? Yep, the seller didn't have the 6 pin PCIE connector plugged in. I sold that card for £100 after paying £25 for it.
