Definitely the AMD 64, despite David claiming the thing about hyperthreading, that does not prevent the P4 HT's shortcomings from showing. The AMD 64 is DEFINITELY WAY BETTER.

i thought hyperthreading was for using multiple programs at the same time with no slow down. If so then it doesnt really matter for gamers like myself.

Just a question id like to ask, on my AMD 64 3200+ it says on with with Hyper Transport technology. Is this the same as hyper threading? it seems it.
