Default Best .Net Web Design Pattern

So just wondering if anyone has ideas about the best design patterns for a .net based website.

A while ago i did quite a bit using the MVC design pattern but have been out of the loop as to if this is now outdated and if there's a new recommended best practice?

If you're referring to ASP.NET, I wouldn't bother with it, since it is a closed source technology and many people have moved on to languages such as PHP, Node.JS or Python.

From what I can tell MVC is still the recommended practice on a quick Google search.

I'd still use MVC mate. Tried and tested, can't go far wrong!
