I Have never watched an 'Anime' Movie,Show or series and i want to know what the big fuss is about. Can someone recomend me a series to watch (Something funny though with a storyline?)?

Outlaw Star is pretty good. One of my favorite light humored anime is School Rumble. Dragonball Z is pretty good, but the story line is very long. Rurouni Kenshin is also an excellent anime.
