We went to go watch that movie called "The Queen". It's all about princess diana's death and how the surviving royal family handled it. anyhow, they made it seem like the royal family was fighting to stay alive seeing as how most people wanted to abolish the royalty all together saying it was a waste of money and land (In the movie they said they have something like 40000 acres of land and they get 40 million pounds a year tax free and a huge castle) dunno if thats true. they also said it was old-fashioned and useless nowadays.
anyways its kind of hard to imagine an england without a king or queen because they've had one since pretty much when it was made. but they say more and more people are opposed to it for the reasons i mentioned above.
i figure we have a couple english "blokes (heard that in the movie)" and is there any truth in the stuff i heard from the movie?
