hehe, i'll seriously laugh when the launch of the PS3 becomes a worry, just like people have been laughing about the Xbox 360. And I'll be waiting for error reports...
The PS3 does have a valid and worthy adversary this time round. Enough said.
And yes, its true that the PS3 does basically just use PC based parts, all except for the Cell chip.

As for HD, it does make alot of difference, but it depends what HD you buy. The HD used to showcase the Xbox 360 in shops is awful...

Didn't the ps2 have like 8 different versions? Cos there were so many errors?

The only reliable console I know of is those made by good old Ninty.

I still boot my snes up sometimes, after about 10 years.

I'd like to see the 360 or ps3 do that after a decade.

Yep... the old PS2 still has a problem I think.

Basically, the laser housing wears away the plastic guiding it, causing "cant read errors", etc, and basically ruins it.
