Sadly we can't do much about what has transpired and as I'm about the newest member here I'm not really in a place to judge the old board vibe vs. the new one. That said, we will make progress towards revitalizing the board, but it takes time. First we cover the basics. Board security has been addressed. Then we work on raising visibility with search engines and making sure that the board has the tools and features needed to support the community. This is underway.

The most important component however of this process however is members participation. The community is what we (all) choose to make of it. Helping new members, swapping ideas and generally hanging out is what's is needed. That and some patience.
