Stop Forum Spam

Since the addon for VB has been installed on Your PC Forums (two days), it has caught and killed 14 spammers. I think it could help keep the spam under better control on CF, as well.

Spam isn't that much of a problem on here anymore, the occasional one gets through, and at most all we've had is internet mafia spam.

However, I think this would be good to implement. It might help in the future. How hard could it be to implement?

Yeah, not very. And I think the mods/admins would appreciate it doing some of the work once it's running.

It's not bad, there is some but it's more of a problem than you think....you aren't the one cleaning it up....

I can't remember, but is there a captcha on the registration page? Since so much of it is automated these days, if there isn't one already then it might really help

Yes there is a captcha, that is one thing that was discussed a while ago and has been installed.

It was probably removed by the time you went into this thread, but there was a post with spam in a thread called "Stop Forum Spam". That's why there is an 3 month difference since the post before 01001010.
