what he said...

There have been times that this site has been slow in the past... but it has previously seemed to pick up the pace again, that just hasn't seemed to have happened.

A lot of that has to do with the fact that no one is actively adding new content such as news articles, stories and rumors about upcoming technologies here. The site also looks very old and dated and the fact that the newest articles are from 2009 or thereabouts makes it look abandoned and run down.
The site has become the antithesis of leading edge and people want new and fresh and up to date, state of the art, especially in a computer or tech forum.

Community based forums are sadly becoming a thing of the past. Faster paced platforms such as Reddit often provide the experience that people are after, while forums are much slower paced generally.
Yeah, sadly the traditional forum format feels like it's long past the peak it had (which was probably about 10 years ago now.) I haven't seen any popular new forums around for ages - the ones that are still going seem to be those that had the momentum to start with, and kept it.

Absolutely, and it's often a vicious circle as visitors like sites that seem active, so fewer people stop by on an inactive site, so it stays inactive.

Actually I don't think it's going to happen any time soon. This forum has been slow in the past but has picked back up....That's good for the forum.

We have had many new members join our community, and it's good to see our new members becoming active posters.
