I doubt it. I've noticed that if theres something he just doesn't want to deal with, he ignores it. I've seen a lot of these signature suggestion threads just die off because he doesn't awnser back in the thread after a bit.

in the new version we can control EXACTLY what is permitted in sigs.

aka no pic in sigs, and what not, but Vb-code in sigs.

That's even better then. I really don't get what the problem is. If you don't want to upgrade your version of VB, then set rules for the signatures. You're the site administrator. That's also why you have moderators...to enforce the rules.

If it's financial reasons why you won't upgrade, give me a PayPal link. I'll donate $10 or something. Seriously...it's not that hard.

I believe he has answered previously in other threads about this that he has no interest in allowing pics in sigs. It's not the answer some people want so they choose to ignore it.

this shows how used to this sort of thread i have become i didnt even bother reading this thread till today
however in this case the op wasnt actually asking for pictures in sig's he was asking to allow BB formatting in sigs which i dont think is an inreasonable thing to ask for but david has said it is impossible to allow this without also allowing pictures in sigs and so people have suggested just allowing bb code and policing pictures via the mods which is what they are here for anyway

and david hasnt responded to that yet

and so he hasnt actualy answered this parrticular question in previous posts

Pics in sigs look messy and unprofessional, also you can't rule it out that somebody might put something *ahem* questionable in there. ASCII porn isn't quite the same.

I suppose. Eh, oh well. I've gotten used to having text for signatures only anyways so whatever. I just don't see what the big deal about them are. Just enable it and everyone is happy and if people abuse it, enforce the rules that have been set out about the signatures. Done.
