Default PM notifications

On overclock.net, when you get a PM, a box pops up telling you, and has a buttons to either open it or close it. OCN is vBulletin, so I was wondering why we don't have this feature.

I always turn that feature off.I hate it. It's not too hard to notice it in the top corner.

I guess. I've passed them up for a couple days before though.

That or making it more noticeable would be nice.

Like a different color instead of just bold (that isn't much of a contrast)

The feature is available but it has a warning that its server intensive, in that every page load it has to query the PM info as well to check for new PMs. Personally I've always thought its just as easy to see when you get a new one anyway
