Point Proven. The Main problem is the server. We need to invest in a better server,not the software. Though unfourtunetly i think too many members have left us and im afraid more and more are going to get frustrated and leave.

Let's just 'say' I was to get a server to run this site. What kind of machine are we talking about and what costs are involved?

Ok there is definately something weird going on. I'm sure its at certain times of the day.

Can you please download www.computerforums.org/test.zip (10MB) and let me know the time of day and what transfer rate you get.

11:10am CST in the colonies. Started out at 220kB at the end dropped to 208kB.

Would have come down quicker but some of the bittorrenting bozos here are chewing up our bandwidth.

586K but that's when the server came back up, I guarentee if I try tomorrow morning my time it will slow substantially.

Do you think you could give some directions? There are two files in there and I don't know what to do with either.
