Ok, first of all why can't you just enable CF members to upload their own avatars. Almost every forum allows this, why don't you guys? It would solve the whole avatar problem.

I uploaded a whole new set of avatars recently, the idea being that everyone would make a request to those involved in creating them.

Since then, I have received a huge amount of requesting avatars from members. It seems like there is never enough for some people.

I just don't have time anymore to personaly upload avatars everytime someone wants a new image. In the future, we will work on a new set as new logos and products come out from the various manufacturers but untill then no more.

Yeah, it isnt all about avatars even though it would be nice. As joepic said relax its only a avatar were here to solve problems not look at other peoples avators..

why can't u use the search button and find out that there must be something like 100 threads on this exact same topic? And probably that exactly same question asked atleast 20 times, and probably answered atleast 10 times.

This really isn't spam. If the mods actually did something about this there wouldn't be this on going war for avatars. All the mods have to do is click a button that would allow anyone to upload there avatars. I should know, because I've had forums before.

So have all of us...it's really simple...they are probably worried about profanity and porno in the avatars...that's what we have mods for.

Look when it comes down to it, David has made his views clear on the situation, there has recently been a large number of new avatars available.

The sum of it is that it is David's site, it is his to run how he wants, and thats really what it comes down to, we choose to come to and participate in the forums because we want to. If avatars is really that great a deal as opposed to reasonably intelligent conversation, and quick and helpful advice then choose elsewhere.
