Okay, so replies here can sometimes take a while. And when they happen, we usually don't know. I was at this website: Tom's Hardware Forums and it seemed like they had a good system going. It seems like they use V-Bullitens too.
If you have ever been there, you'd notice that if you post something, and somebody replies, it tells you in the sidebar. I was wondering if this forum is capable of doing that? PROS:

The forum on Tom's is not vBulletin. I believe it's created by their parent company, Bestofmedia. If you look at the icons on the left sidebar of this forum, it will show you if there are new replies to the threads. At the bottom of the forum page there is a guide that explains what each icon means.

Possibly there is a plugin for vBulletin.

Yeah it's a Bestofmedia Forum system. Having a live Updated sidebar would be good but i think we need some Plugin's to work behind the scene,to improve performance and stop spammers.
