What's your opinion on a fixed width CF site? I think it's much better looking, especially on large screens. A music forum I use has changed to fixed width this morning and it makes it much more pro.
What do you think and is it something that could be implemented here? |

True. Most of the fixed width sites are about 900-1000 wide, which display on a 1024 wide screen perfectly. On a bigger screen you will have the site down the middle and nice back-drop, which you could have people here design for you as a competition, or send in high res pictures, that you might change every season maybe.

Loading another theme would be the smarter thing to do. Leave this one as the default and another that is user selectable as the fixed width. Over at the mothership they have some themes that are just xml sheets. All you do is pop them in and do some size tweaking, add a header logo, and you're all set. I think the black and gray like I use would be a big hit. It's easy on the eyes and a snap to set up.
