Look, we have now over 25,000 members, and the number of members constantly returing hasn't changed from when we just had 12,000 members.

In fact, everyone is still the same, thats why they all have some many thousands of posts...


We NEED more members to return. Something to make the forum want to make them to want to come back.

Professionalism for a forum aimed at young teens is not the way to go.


Sorry, but I'm on other forums that do allow custom things, and its becoming more apparent something needs to be changed.

Please think about it.

maybe you could allow custom avatars and sig's so long as the person using them hosts it themselves i.e. on photobucket or something....that way you don't have the server filled with unnecessary garbage.

Good idea,some sort of incentive would bring member back,but also you could send an email to all members registered advertising the fact
that we have changed.

A mass email would be a good idea, but we need to impliment something to make members say hey this place is tight, i wanna stay for a while.

just have the most computer literate problem solvers on some sort of instant chat so that anyone with a problem can go just ask them and have some help straight away

EDIT:!! ok seriously, something needs to be done about these spam postings with links to "naked pictures blah blah" the first thing i see coming back to the forum this morning under general computer hardware and software is the most recent thread and the name was "Britney Spears Naked Pussy" - what on earth do new members, potential members and regular memebers think if they see that the most recent post is one advertising porn?!?!?!? I understand that it would be hard to completely eradicate this kind of spam - but the least that can be done is something in the account creating stages with some sort of puzzle. Please consider.

I don't consider that to be too much of a problem...they are normal rid of pretty quickly....it would be worse to come on and see a post from 2 or 3 days ago advertising that type of stuff...there are plenty of sites around where that happens.

Did I say we should let it happen here? No the point I am trying to make is that the average forum user is aware that it is a problem on most forums and wouldn't think that this is the only place it occurs. Particularly when they see that it is cleared up quickly

I think members should be listened to as a start. I don't feel members are listened to very often here. I agree, the forum does need a bit of changing. Custom stuff would be nice but I don't really care about that stuff.
