You couldn't do it after Guru - because then the Guru Rank would become useless entirely.

Maybe after two or three thousand Posts. It would answer the new Ranks question that has been popping up.

Yeah. Let the Gurus do that after a certain number of posts.

what would stop people putting stupid tings in it or changing it to Moderator or administrator

maybe add another rank but not custom ranks

You can ban specific words in the Custom Name chooser. Words like Administrator, Moderator, Admin, Mod are all banned automatically from when you first install it.
