Custom Icons

Custom Avatar

Isnt there some way to allow for customised Avatar? In my experence alot of people use them to tell users apart without needing to look at them or the name, but here this is difficult as there are only 23!

Custom AV'S are not alowed on this site , i believe only moderators can have them...

I know, but thats why I'm sujesting them. 23 is too small of a number. Mabey moderated Avatars like IGN has, say 30 new icons submited a mounth, on user submissions, with a few constrains on size, dimenstions and content.

well you could ask David to increase the # of them, i have been trying to do that for awhile.

Will custom avatars or custom sig slow the site down a bit? You can imagine if all of us have that capablitily.

Not at all, but if your going to have 23, its a pretty redundant feature.

Well we are trying to increase this # , but there is too much going on at this time.
