Clubs? Allow? Yes or No?

Details worked out later. Just looking to see if there is significant interest to PM David about creating clubs for certain criteria.

I Vote no because it would create 'groups' or 'sects' in the forum community therefore not being as open and friendly. Though it would be cool to have badges representing what parts we have in our rig....

I vote no because it seems pretty pointless, to me at least.

^ All very valid points. Just getting a brief synop of the community's standpoint. Though I like Neo's suggestion very much - The Badge idea.

I vote no, because ComputerForums.org is a club within itself.
I vote yes, on the badge idea with one minor change.

Badges for PHP, Hardware, Software, Javascript, Java, A+, C#, C++, etc..

You either earn a badge (by vote or appointed by a mod/admin).
or select a badge you know most about.
For example, my badge would be PHP.

I can definitely agree with that also; I guess you could start a badge poll and see how it goes. I'm certainly in favor of badges for a variety of things such as skill or item possession. But that's a little off the topic of this thread.
