I'm pretty sure Lowndsey's comment was a sarcastic one - there have been very few contributions since the announcement was made. A lot of people seemed keen on making major contributions but in reality this hasn't been the case. I've put a few articles up there, but I just don't have the time to write / maintain them all; this was never going to work unless it was a large scale community effort.
I haven't mentioned anything because I don't think it's fair to push people into doing something if they don't want to do it - heck, it was a small project on the side and I'm not going to start getting bitter because people aren't contributing. It's not up to me to tell people what to do (it's not like I'm going to be paying anyone to contribute!)
That said, I don't see the problem in leaving it open - I keep the site up anyway, so it's 0 effort on my part to leave the wiki up as a subdomain where it is. If people decide to start producing content and leaving it there at some point in the future, then great - if not then hey, nothing to lose - at least we tried!
