Thats because I have almost no time to do anything but homework and a short time posting on here and then all my spare time, which is not much I spend on Blueman Forums.
Having it so that members need a certain amount of posts to gain a status (aka "Member") could cause users to spam only with the wish to get enough posts to get a custom avatar. Secondly - it doesn't take many posts to become a "Member" - anyone of that status could put any pic they liked up - could be anything, from porn to pics of dead bodies - you get my drift. Someone having a picture of that nature would not only look slightly unprofessional but also possibly discouraging to a guest considering signing up.
So - I thought of a sort of .... comprimise? To take up with David. Stick with it so that only Moderators can have Custom Avatars. This hugely decreases the chance of someone putting an inappropriate one up. But instead, upload more avatars for users to choose from. Widen the selection. Few more car avatars, maybe a few music ones, computer ones, computer games and a few other random ones. Yes, we have a good selection of standard avatars up, but it certainly wouldn't hurt by putting some more up to give a user more choice. </2cents>
