I don't mind resizing, but finding a format that was the 65x65 (which I like) and smaller than the limit took me a while. that should go up to like 25 kb.

I think everyone here is more than capable of resizing there avatars.

The point of the thread is once most avatars are re sized and animated avatars are pretty much useless once stripped to 14.9KB.

The fact that there are pre defined avatars that are both larger than 65X65 and 14.9Kb isn't right.

Don't get me wrong I love the fact he implemented the custom avatars but he restricted it to the point were anything really creative is just to big to fit.

Even though I don't have one, I wouldn't vote for the last option. Think about it. what if the site hosting the avatar is down. Then you wouldn't see that member's avatar. no, uploading a 100x100 avatar to CF's own servers is much better, IMO.

OT: I think post attachments should be instated for the same reason.

The forum that I created my avatar for has a 64x64 / 15.0 KB limit. Nobody bitches and moans about it there and they have 220,372 members.
