Is my avatar ok? It's got my forum's name in it. I have the little hary critter I can use if it's not.

Not a bad idea. I just wish gimp would let me make the logo part on a transparent background instead of the black.

you can use photobucket for that

edit all you need on your pc, upload it, then add the text

yeah just make the text a second layer on top of the background then just change the opacity of the text

Sorry about taking so long to respond. I got it from Gimp. It's called the starburst and the font is Algerian.

Good post! I plan to move into this stuff after I'm done with school, as most of it is time consuming. It's a great post to reference back to. My blog needs more time to gain in popularity anyway.
