Default Wondering about server and client machines

I have 5 computers, and 1 windows 2K server. I want to be able to logon to any computer with my user name and password and access my email and whatever settings I have. I know this can be done with Remote Desktop but thats not what im looking for.

Is there another way to accomplish this using my server?

Im worried about growth. What if I have 25 computers logging on to the same server using remote desktop? Bandwidth, reaction time...ya know.
What are your thoughts?
