Question Restrict user permissions? Windows 2003

I want to give one of our developers access to the production database server but only so that he can restart Oracle services. Is this possible?

I dont think you can do this in local security policy. so you need AD for this to work, but it works

Yes, you can allow access to any or no services...

you need to use the service access control list to specify who can access what services.

(it's called svcacls.exe from the windows resource Kit).

the trouble is that you're going to have to deny access to all services to that user, excpt for the Oracle service, so it may take a while to set up.
