Default recovering files

Hi i opended a word attachemnt in my hotmail yesterday and made some adjustements to it. i then clicked save and it appaered to do so, but then when i have tried to reopen it, i can't find the document. Has it gone completley or is there any way of getting it back. I don't know if there is a tempory file it goes to?

yes, it's in your temporary internet files.

if you're using IE then it'll be in
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
