Need a good forum hoster

ok im a total noob when it comes to web hosting... so what im wanting to know is... what is a good PHPBB hoster that will allow a good bit of hosting for a fairly low price... all suggestions and advice is more than appreciated

Well if you just want a forum i have used "forumer" before. It doesn't give you access to the server, or allow you to manually edit the PHP files, but you can do a lot on it.

yeah ive seen that one but im wanting on that i can add and change my own code... im wanting one that i can add modifications to and use FTP and MySQL

Well actually if you want that, all you have to do is find a free web host that allows PHP. NetFast (netfast.org) is one but it is getting really bad with ads and popups. I also have heard of ULMB (ulmb.com) but i haven't tried it yet. Maybe i'll sign up for an account to test it.
Once you find one you like, you can go to http://phpbb.com and find a download for a PHP forum. Or ULMB might offer an automatic forum installer. I will have to sign up on ULMB and get back to you.
