Hi,
I am in the process of installing Windows Server 2008 on a Virtual Machine and I am at the step of creating a DNS server. It says that I need to assign a static IP address in which I have already done so. If someone could guide me through this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! |

Do you mean a static IP on the server or static IPs for clients?
you can set a static server IP using the properties page of your network connection under IPv4. Client static IPs have to be set in active directory i think.

go into network connections and right click your network connection and select properties. From here, select IPV4 in the menu and click the properties button for it. Assign your static (manual) IPs.

I had already did that, but I figured it out. I disabled the IPv6 protocol and it worked.
