Default .htaccess help, both redirect and pass

I want to make the .htaccess use either the pass or the redirect.

For example:

if you entered "monkey.com/files" from "whoknows.com", it would let you in without asking for a username and password. But if you come from anywhere else it will ask you for a username and password.

help please.

i did but i could only find them where they required both not either or.

so they had them where they required password and refferer together and you needed both to get in.

I want refferer and password, but I want it so that if they are from a allowed refferer they don't need a password, but if they arnt they need a password!
