What do you want to do with them? What kind of advice are you looking for?

You could sell them to a fellow citizen

Yeah your best bet, is look for as many make and model numbers that you can find.
Post a couple pictures

Or. . . . even better, do they switch on and work?
Could you boot them up and take a look?

Hello and thanks for the replies. I have been away and not been able to reply. i am going to sort out what is available very soon. Perliminary i have these images and model numbers, but am going to do a proper audit this week.

Dell poweredge 1850
King Slide Rails
LH Rack

I am hoping that if they are of use that i could sell them to customers who know how to use them and have use of them.

The servers are def on the older side (they only support up to 12GB of ram where new ones can support all the way up to 128GB). However, they might be worth something. The first thing ppl will ask is if they work, so I'd test that before anything else.

The problem with old servers like this is they tend to be quite power hungry for what they accomplish, which is one of the reasons why they tend to be upgraded in the first place. So while I'm not saying they're worthless, they're perhaps not worth as much as you think when you realise whoever purchases them to run will have to balance that cost with increased energy consumption over buying a new machine of equivalent flops.

The other factor companies tend to look for in a server (other than low energy consumption) is reliability, and with this sort of old gear that takes a knocking too, especially considering the availability of spare parts.

So of course, by all means sell them - I'm just saying don't expect huge amounts!
