Default Eventlogs

I would like an easier way to monitor user logons on a server. I have used powershell but the username wont show as a column and i would like to see that and eventually get that on a CSV format.

Eventeviewer takes to long to go through each one and when i save the log it does not provide usernames.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Default Re: Eventlogs

You can get some products that will export event logs as syslog,

That's just plain formatted text so you can manipulate it into a data base or search the formatted text directly for the login events.

I'm reasonably sure usernames are sent with the syslog. But don't have a system in front of me to check.
