Default appache question...

ok i tried to install appache and it said domain name... and had a box for you to fill it in... well i want it just to host pictures for places like here... well how do i get it to just use my ip?

appache makes me mad. i tried to use it for my psp and it worked, but then stopped working. so i uninstalled it and gave up

to just use yuor IP fill it in with just your IP.
or fill it in with localhost...
anything will do.

ok i filled it in with localhost, being that i dont have a static ip... ok, now where do i put my index.html?

you put the fil index.html in whatever you have defined as your document root...

this is in the http.conf file.
