Hi,
i have been given the task of finding out some information about our servers. i would just like to ask if any of you could help me. most of the information i have found no problem. there is jsut a few i am stuck on. pocessor size (i can find speed and model/make but not size) RAID & Logical Drive Config (not a clue on this one) Member Server or DC (no Idea how to find this out) Gernaertion of the server ( i think it means the model generation but where to find this i dont no) also i have to find information about our MSA (for a start i dont no what one is i need to no how many discs it has, SCSI Type, SCSI speed, SCSI SIze & what serve that it is connected to. if anyone can advise me on any of these then please do so. please note this is nothing to do with any exams or anything it is a task that i am trying to figure out. thanks jiffybag. |

CPU-Z is a nice info gathering program (freeware) that can find all of that info for you (I think) with out going "under-the-hood" of the PC. As for Generation of the server, Wikipedia has a nice list and generations of a lot of servers. I'd search the model number in wikipedia and read up.
