Hello,
I just signed up with gotrusted which is supposedly an encrypted secure vpn tunnel for pc and mac. I have all connections going over the vpn via the pptp configuration on mac tiger, so why then is my firewall still denying connections from china constantly? How can this be? When I check my ip on the web it shows the gotrusted ip so I am connected to their service. Thanks |

I think you;re misunderstanding the technology.
the VPN just sets up a secure tunnel for your traffic, from your PC to the endpoint. your router still exists, and still has a public IP so people can still access (or attempt to access) it from the outside. your firewall s blocking the traffic so you probably don't really need to worry.
