Hi my friend had a virus on her computer that was nothing ive ever seen before
It took out every scanner i through at it, AVG, Avast, norten, Kimberly ect. it even taken over safe mode and just distoryed any kind of cleaner even in there (ccleaner, Spybot S&D, adaware) we finally desided just to reinstall windows but it still bugs me what kind of virus was that and how would i fix it just encase it happens again (she isnt a very smart person) |

What do you mean 'took out software?'
What was the name of it? What was it actually doing to the computer? How did you identify it? Did you try Antimalware bytes? that would be a good stop. Try running it on safe mode from a USB stick, rather than running it directly off the desktop, would be a decent bet, if it's 'taking everything out' |

what i meant was when i tryed running the software it would just kill it
i didnt have a usb stick at the time i tryed malware bytes and destroyed it i just knew it was there cause whos computer it was lol |

Ok, well Try a usb stick, or a floppy (if anyone still uses them?!) or CD or some storage devgice to hand. If not, like you say a system restore / reformat.
Altarnateively, now its working make a safe back up that you can revert back to! What was the virus doing? slowing you down? pop ups etc? |

well we got the problem fixed(reinstalled windows)
ya it was slowing it down and sending out information and redirecting browsers to oother attack sites when useing google |
