What do you think, Is it safe to buy things off ebay??

Personally I think yes. I always buy from highly rated sellers and power sellers if I can, I pay with paypal so I know my credit card details are safe.

Well I do know that PayPal is secure, I'm not sure about eBay however.
On a side note, I'm really getting tired of sifting through all this irrelevant junk when searching for stuff on the site.

I think it is, ive been using paypal and ebay for a few years. 3 months ago tho someone got a hold of my paypal and sent 500$ to a yahoo.au email address and left a note saying ground shipping. It took me 2 weeks to get my money back and left my card off of it ever since. More the reason to change your password every once in a while then using the same one for years. lol.
Also, I do see a alot of junk on ebay now. I find a lot of crap I want that china peeps are flood posting cheap crappy versions for real cheap..

I have been burned a couple times on small stuff (<$20) but the majority of my Ebay dealings have been positive.

unless you're unable to spot a scam when you see one, yes; it's perfectly safe IMHO. Logins on eBay are HTTPS secured, as are logins for PayPal. I believe they both use VeriSign.

Also, PayPal Protection.
