Internet Explorer HISTORY SHOWS EVERYTHING!!!

Hello,

I am concerned that my computer has a virus. When I look at the history on Internet Explorer, the history shows EVERYTHING that has been done on my computer. Normally, the history just shows the webpages that have been visit, and this is the case when I look at the history on Firefox, but the history on Internet Explorer shows not only the webpages that have been visited, but also the word documents that have been opened, the computer games that have been played, the music files that have been opened--EVERYTHING!!!

I trashed the program and tried downloading it again, but this is still the case. And unfortunately, if I want to pay my Best Buy bill online, I have to use Internet Explorer.

Has anyone had this trouble before? Do I have a virus? Has my computer been hacked?

In IE, go to Tools/Internet Options, click on the Content tab. Under AutoComplete, click on the Settings button. make sure the checkbox for "Use Windows Search for better results" is unchecked.
