well this is my first topic posted in this forum so hey everyone! hope to make a good stay outta this like the other 42 forums i'm on...lol. anyways i've been looking up stuff online about the av8 virus and have yet to find a way to kill it because the registry entries that it says to nuke online aren't the same as what the computer is saying... right now i just have the process ended so i don't get it popping up ever 2 minutes saying i need to buy the scanner...
any help would be nice! i'm like the only IT guy for my family (4 computers) and usually can take care of stuff pretty easily but this ones got me stumped! thanks, Darrel |

you might be able to sort it out manually with safe mode, just go in and see if you can find the files it has infected, then run start up repair.
this worked for me many-a-time. or get something like MBAM and run a full scan.
